About
I have always been interested in helping people bring ideas to life.
My career has taken me through creative production, marketing, technology, corporate communications, publishing, and brand strategy. On the surface, those may look like very different chapters. To me, there has always been a common thread.
I like understanding what someone is trying to accomplish, finding what may be getting in the way, and helping turn the idea into something clearer, stronger, and more useful.

How I Got Here
A path through creative work, systems, communication, and service.
I started my career in hands-on creative production in 1994. Back then, the work taught me something I still believe today: a good idea eventually has to work in the real world.
Over the years, my career expanded beyond design into marketing, websites, technology, executive communications, publishing, brand strategy, and organizational projects. Each experience added something to the way I work today.
Creative production taught me execution and attention to detail. Technology taught me to think about systems, scale, and the people who have to use them. Executive communications taught me the importance of understanding the audience before shaping the message. Working with entrepreneurs, authors, and organizational leaders taught me how important it is to listen before deciding what the solution should be.
That combination is a large part of what I bring to my work today. I can step back and see the larger opportunity while still understanding what it takes to actually bring an idea to life.
For me, creative leadership has never been about creating something that simply looks good. It has to serve a purpose.
How I Approach the Work
I ask questions...
I want to understand why something is being done before deciding how it should be done. The first request is not always the real problem, and I have learned not to rush toward a solution simply because one seems obvious.
I also pay attention to details. Strategy matters, but so does execution. A strong idea can lose credibility quickly when the experience around it feels inconsistent or unfinished.
And I care about the people involved. Whether I am working with an executive, an entrepreneur, a creative team, or someone trying to bring a personal vision to life, I want them to feel heard and better equipped because we worked together.
What I Believe
Five principles that shape how I work.
-
Listen before leading.
I do better work when I understand the people, context, and problem first.
-
Do what you say you will do.
Trust is built through consistency, follow-through, and integrity.
-
Pay attention to the details.
Excellence is often visible in the things people assume no one will notice.
-
Look for what could be.
I naturally see possibilities in people, ideas, brands, and organizations that may not yet be fully realized.
-
Leave people better equipped.
Good work should strengthen more than the immediate deliverable.
What Grounds Me
Faith, family, responsibility, and service.
My Christian faith is the foundation of my life and shapes how I think about purpose, stewardship, leadership, and service.
I am a husband, father, follower of Christ, and lifelong learner. Those parts of my life matter more to me than any professional title. They remind me that success is not simply about what I accomplish, but also about how I treat people, whether I honor my commitments, and whether I use what I have been given to help someone else move forward.
I was also deeply influenced by more than two decades of life as a military spouse. My wife served twenty-two years in the United States Air Force, and through that experience I came to appreciate three values that have stayed with me:
I did not serve in uniform, but those principles became part of the way I think about responsibility, service, and the standard I bring to my work.
